5 July 2017 – Telespazio VEGA has been awarded a contract by ESA for the development of satellite-derived Waste Management services. Dubbed ‘Space Man meets Bin Man’, the IAP Feasibility Study is designed to develop downstream applications for new proposed services including detection of illegal landfill sites and tracking of high value waste streams.
Selected for its originality and interaction with relevant user groups, including County Councils and devolved administration Environmental Management agencies, Telespazio is teamed with Air & Space Evidence, Rartel and EP&R to develop the evidence base for its technical viability and future commercial feasibility.
