17 July 2018 – SEonSE (Smart Eyes on the SEas), Leonardo’s geospatial maritime security platform, goes online today. Thanks to the use of cloud computing and of advanced big data analysis models, SEonSE makes it possible to access in real-time, even from tablets or smartphones, customised information on what happens at sea.

Marine environment and how it may be affected by climate change
21 February 2018 – Plymouth Marine Laboratory (PML) has been contracted by ECMWF as part of the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) Marine project, to develop a European focused Marine, Coastal and Fisheries Sectoral Information System (SIS) service, with partners from Telespazio VEGA UK, AZTI, CSIC, HCMR and PML Applications.
Lift off for new French Guiana Spaceport Control Centre
20 February 2018 – Telespazio VEGA UK has successfully delivered key launch authorisation software, which was recently used operationally for the first time in launch VA240 when an Ariane 5 rocket blasted off from the spaceport in French Guiana carrying 4 Galileo satellites.
New study looking for Cornish lithium ‘fingerprint’ from space
25 January 2018 – A team of data scientists at the Satellite Applications Catapult is leading a new study, funded by Innovate UK, to see if it is possible to detect a lithium ‘fingerprint’ from space by imaging vegetation and minerals on the ground using satellites.
